Tickets for second night of ‘An Intimate Evening with Sting’ go on sale Monday


The Florida Orchestra benefit concert featuring iconic artist Sting swiftly sold out and a second show will be added due to high demand, the orchestra announced today. The encore performance will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 18.


"An Intimate Evening with Sting and The Florida Orchestra: Encore Performance” puts the world-renowned rock star and former front man of The Police center stage for a second consecutive night of reimagined versions of fan favorites drawn from his illustrious career of No. 1 hits and multiplatinum albums. Selections will include Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Englishman In New York, Fields of Gold, Every Breath You Take and many more. Music Director Michael Francis will conduct both nights, May 9 & 10.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 am Monday, March 18. Prices are $100, $200, $300 $400, $550 and $750; fees apply. Tickets will be available only through The Florida Orchestra: online at FloridaOrchestra.org, by phone at

Net proceeds from both nights support TFO’s high standard of artistic excellence as well as free education and community programs that serve Tampa Bay. Sting’s first performance with TFO is legendary – a magical night celebrating the orchestra’s 50th anniversary in 2017. Rave reviews called the concert “mesmerizing” and “tremendously moving.”


In Sting’s distinguished career, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has received 17 GRAMMY Awards® and sold 100 million albums worldwide from his combined work as one of the most distinctive solo artists in the world and former front man
of The Police. A composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author and activist, Sting also has received a Golden Globe, four Oscar nominations, a Tony nomination, Billboard Magazine’s Century Award and Kennedy Center Honors.
