In 1971, France Inter Paris was created to make life more pleasant for Parisians. A love story was born between Fip and the capital. 50 years later, for its anniversary, it is only natural that the most musical of radio stations becomes immortal when it enters the Pantheon. Fip and the Center Des Monuments Nationaux are teaming up for an exceptional event, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of radio, with Sting, to offer Fip listeners a moment of music in the temple of verb, of thought and of commitment.

We will be launching the 16th edition of the Reeperbahn Festival in our usual glamorous style at the Stage Operettenhaus with our Reeperbahn Festival Opening. On Wednesday, 22 September 2021, starting at 6pm, Hadnet Tesfai will assume hosting duties for the Opening Show and will be welcoming top-class live acts including Sting in the flesh to the Operettenhaus, where he’ll sing two songs from his glittering career play list, now spanning almost four decades!

Sting's new single 'If It's Love' from his upcoming album 'The Bridge' (released 19 November) is Ken Bruce's Record of the Week on his BBC Radio 2 show so there's plenty of opportunity to catch it if you're tuned in. The first single, “If It's Love" is out now. 2013: Sting performed on the Today show in New York. 'The Last Ship' was released in the USA. More

2011: Sting performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, USA.

2010: Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Sting performed at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. More

2005: Sting performed a massive free concert at the Sluzewic Horse Racing Rink in Warsaw, Poland. More

2004: Sting performed at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA. More

2000: Sting performed at the MTN Sundome in Johannesburg, South Africa. More

1999: Sting appeared on the 'Today Show Summer Concert Series' playing a live early morning set at New York's Rockefeller Centre live on the NBC network. He drew the largest live crowd for one of these shows.

1997: Sting was a guest performer at the Country Music Association Awards at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, were he performed 'I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying' with country star Toby Keith.

1996: Sting performed at Century Hall in Nagoya, Japan. During the performance of 'I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying' in Nagoya, a relaxed Sting allowed one member of the audience to play his bass whilst another sang!

1991: Sting performed at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham, USA.

1989: Sting appeared as Macheath in the '3 Penny Opera' at the National Theatre in Washington DC.

1985: Sting performed at Radio City Music Hall in New York. More

1983: The Police performed at the Arena in Frejus, France.
